Remember the furore over the drafting of s147 of the Equality Act 2010? Can certain compromise agreements ever be valid? Two top employment law QCs couldn't agree (see here for their Advices), although DBIS insisted there wasn't any problem.
Well, we can all sleep safely in our beds now. The Equality Act 2010 (Amendment) Order 2012, coming into force on 6th April 2012, amends s147 to remove the controversy.
A slightly anti-climactic ending, but there's not much else to say.
